Montane Sonic Tee Review

The Sonic is a polyester quickly drying base-layer top.

Uses DRYACTIV Express fabric.

A very soft feel to the fabric with some wind resistance to it,

Strips down the side of the body and inside of the arms use a more breathable fabric.

The result is a garment that dissipates sweat as fast as you can pump it out

I took the base-layer out on the same walk to test it out.…

It’s cut & fits well. Its not overly tight or baggy, there is a reasonable stretch to the knitted fabric.

 As I walked along , rock hopping on the warm day, I had sweat on my back from where my pack was pushing against me. My face was sweating. But the rest of the top stayed dry all day long. Without the sweat on other parts of my body, I’d have been oblivious to the fact that I was sweating. I have to say its an impressive garment to have when you’re sweating away.

Main body fabric is UPF 50+ and side panels UPF 25+ protection.

It’s a nice light weight and you barely notice it’s on you.

I was able to push the sleeves up to my elbows and they stayed there nicely for as long as I wanted, handy to be able to do, when you want the long sleeves out of the way or to cool off more.
